about

Monika Cieplinska is a Polish artist, illustrator and designer based in France. After a few years of work in Norway and the UK as a graphic designer, she settled in the beautiful region Alpes Maritimes in the South. Here she created her graphic design company Klika Design in 2013. Subsequently, after few years, Klika Atelier – an art and design studio in the town centre of Grasse.

style

Addicted to sketchbooks, patterns, miniatures, symbols, the colour blue and the collision between controlled attention to detail and the unexpected results of letting go, she follows her creative energy and all that is visible only with the heart.

Her style is joyful, naïve, full of colours and imagination. The artist works in a variety of media. These include watercolour, acrylics, gouache, inks, ceramics and mixed media. Most importantly, she continues to explore creative techniques both in the digital and art world.

She finds inspiration in everyday life. For instance in nature, people and their stories, the botanical world, cute animals and the poetry of life. Moreover, in her creations, Monika often relates to folk art from Poland, where she grew up and studied art and education.

I have three eyes. Two to look, one to see.
